Julia is a British television newsreader and journalist, she is redound to be a co-presenter for the “ITV News” and also a presenter for the show “Tonight” which are shown on the big channels such as ITV.

She speaks in a professional manor with allot of confidence to make sure the points are getting across. Julia also speaks very formally in a Queens English accent which makes her sound more intelligent, also she speaks loud and clearly which can also make things clearer for the viewers to understand. When she presents / co-presents, she uses allot of professional words which connotes that she knows what she is talking about. Julia doesn’t have a catch phrase but instead emphasis allot of words when she is news reading.

When Julia is presenting she always looks professional with a fashionable twist as she wears dresses mainly in darker colors such as red and black but also sometimes wears a blazer to cover the top half, which makes her look smart and intelligent but also up fashion. She always has a straight face and is very straight forward as for her body language it is also very confident and professional and sometimes changes her attitude depending on the story she is presenting, and also it is appropriate because it sets the mind of the audience and viewers to the correct state of mind varying on the story.

Her target audience are people that like to know about what’s going on so most likely older people, aged about 31 – 60 mainly female and classes A – B people, the VALS being Achievers, Strivers because they are motivated to want to know what’s happening around the world.

Presenting Techniques Of Emma Willis

Presenting techniques of Emma Willis

Emma Willis is a presenter / broadcaster, a former model. She has presented on some very big shows such as “Big Brother”, also co-presenting “The Voice UK”. She gets mainly hired from the big TV channel ITV as she is good at presenting allot of types of programs.

Firstly Emma is very chatty and speaking very fast in her shows, but goers into detail in most of the subjects to make the audience more informed about what’s going on. She has a London accent which goes along with her fast paced speaking and the shows that she presents are mainly on in the afternoon so it makes the show feel more fluid. When presents the shows such as “Big Brother” she has a sarcastic side to her which makes every subject that she talks about very funny and especially when she takes the viewers on a toured guide of the “Big Brother” house. I think that she gets to present on these big shows such as “Big Brother” because of her crazy attitude and her very confident posture which makes you feel like she is fit for the show also you can see she is very good at getting the point across to the viewers.

When Emma presents on the shows she mainly wares a smart casual dress which makes her look fashionable and sexy but with a hint of professionalism. She always smiles when presenting and always makes a laugh of everything so there is lots of laughter but she also pronounces her words good to make sure the viewer’s know what she is saying, as for her body language is very open and giddy to make the show look more fun to watch. Overall these things are good for her audience as she is aimed at younger people such as students and young adults as the shows she presents are very humorous.

We mostly see Emma present in a studio, or on a stage area for example when they first start “Big Brother” and they introduce the celebrities. Her target audience is younger since she is very chatty and entertaining, so going from about age 14 – 26, mostly male but also female because of her gossipy style of conversations. VALS are overall Innovators and experiencers as they are young and vary trendy people and class wise is about C2 – D – E as they are most likely still in education or low income.

Presenting Techniques of Paul O'Grady

Paul O'Grady is a presenter / comedian, he presents a couple of his own shows such as "Paul O'Grady for the love of dogs" and also the "Paul O'Grady show", also has been a guest in some others such as "Alan Carr Chattyman".

The way that Paul presents is in a confident manner but with a positive posture and tone and he does this to make the audience and the people that watch the show feel like the show is more fun to watch. Paul O'Grady has a northern / Cheshire accent and when he presents he doesn't change his voice because he acts him self with a comedic side to him which is different compared to other presenters. He always makes the audience laugh when he shouts “Bert, put that clip on!”, The term/ person called “Bert” is his catchphrase he used all the time on his shows shouting to him or this made up person, out laud which puts some really funny humor to the shows. His personality is very camp, loving but in some ways joyful which makes his language and vocabulary very chatty and funny.

Paul dresses very professionally as he always wears a suit, he does this to make him self look presentable but also stand out to everyone else. His facial expressions show his joyful side to him as he always has a smile on his face, which makes the audience feel happier. His body language is very open and uses allot of hand gestures to get points across and sits very laid back and casually, over all these things are all appropriate because he likes to interact with the audience and the public and to make them feel more happier while watching the show.

The main locations that you see Paul presenting is mainly in a studio, for example on the “Paul O’Grady Show”. However on some of the shows he is in they are based outdoors with animals as that is his interest, an example of this is “The British Animal Honors” which is his new show. Paul is a good presenter for family programs, so the VALS consist of thinkers and makers, main age range is from about 30 – 60 both male and female and also B – C2 classed people which are a very wide range.
